Hoteles City Receives Authorization from COFECE for the Sale of its Brands to Marriott International, Inc. (BMV:HCITY)
Mexico City, March 9th, 2023 - Hoteles City Express, S.A.B. de C.V. ("Hoteles City Express") (BMV: HCITY), announces that COFECE (Federal Economic Competition Commission) has authorized the sale of its five brands: City Centro, City Express Suites, City Express Plus, City Express, and City Express Junior, as well as its loyalty program City Premios Rewards to Marriott International, Inc. The transaction is expected to be completed at the beginning of May 2023.
With the establishment of the strategic relationship with Marriott International, the Company will continue to operate over 150 hotels currently in its portfolio and grow through investment programs, hotel development, and new management contracts.
